Fostering annual summer BBQ enjoys sunshine…& showers

On 19 August the fostering team held their annual summer BBQ on the beach in Worthing, West Sussex.

Foster carers and their families enjoyed some special time together, whilst enjoying good food, music and, most importantly, each other’s company.

Foster carer Guz sent us this feedback afterwards:

“I have just returned from our annual summer BBQ and wanted to let you know that Matt and I had a really good time today and to thank you for that.

“Even though there was a heavy shower near the beginning, somehow it was fun getting things out of the rain and watching Kim and Matt attempting to light the BBQ while it was hammering down was rather amusing and the fact that we were all in it together made even the rainy bit enjoyable.

“The food was very tasty and the BBQ was very well organised, you seemed to have covered all that one might want to eat. It is always nice to catch up with fellow carers and because it is an all day event we had lots of time to chat, loved the music as well. Anyway thank you again for a great day, look forward to our next event.”
